Notes:
They lived for a time at Buck Lake.
About 1893 they purchased a dam and a general store at Lake Opinicon, where John Mable was born.
Alexander continued to run the farm and store, and was Postmaster and secretary-treasurer of the school for many years.
He built a new cheese factory to replace the old one. As Alexander's health began to fail, his son, Kora, came to manage the farm and business and look after his mother.
Alexander married Darling, Mary Abigail. Mary (daughter of Darling, Charles W and Spooner, K(C?)atherine) was born in 1896; died on 10 Apr 1949. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

8. Darling, Avery G. was born on 16 Apr 1830 in Loughborough Township, Frontenac Co, ON, CAN (son of Darling, Ira William and Powley, Mary); died before 1891. Notes:
Avory (Avery?) married Margaret Reed and they had four children - Sophronie, Alexander, Theodore and Victoria.
Avory became blind while quite young and died of a heart atack a few years later. His wife, Margaret, remained on the farm which was run the her son Theodore, for a few more years and later moved to Latimer. She suffered a par
alletic stroke and was confined to a wheelchair for several years before she died. She was buried in the Wilmur cemetery.
Avery married Reid, Margaret about 1854 in Frontenac Co, ON, CAN. Margaret was born in 1847 in ON,CAN; died in 1921 in Loughborough Township, Frontenac Co, ON, CAN. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
