Lyrics

Give the king your justice, O God,
And your righteousness to a king's son.
May he judge your people with righteousness,
And your poor with justice.

May the mountains yield prosperity for the people,
And the hills, in righteousness.
May the king defend the cause of the poor of people,
Give the needy deliverance,

Give the king your justice, O God,
And your righteousness to a king's son.
May he judge your people with righteousness,
And your poor with justice.

May he live as long as the sun and the moon,
May he be like the rain that showers the earth.
In his days may peace and righteousness flourish
Until the moon is no more.

May he have dominion from sea to sea,
From the River to the ends of the earth.
May his foes bow down and his enemies lick the dust.

May the world's kings give him tribute,
May all rulers bring him gifts.
Every king fall down and all nations serve him too.

For he saves the needy when they call,
The poor who have no help.
Indeed he has compassion on the needy and the weak,

And saves the lives of the needy
From oppression and abuse
He redeems their life; and precious is their blood.

May his name endure for always,
And his fame continue long as the sun.
May all nations be blessed in him;
May they call him blessed.

Blessed be the Lord, Israel's God,
Who alone does wondrous things.
Blessed be his glorious name for always;
May his glory fill the earth.
Amen and Amen.
